We strongly recommend cleaning your plancha after each use. Proper maintenance of your plancha will ensure it lasts for many years.
- Make sure your plancha is turned off but remains warm enough without being too hot.
- Pour lukewarm water over the surface, and use a wooden spatula or a utensil designed for this purpose. Remove the largest pieces of food residue and push them into the grease-collection tray. Avoid using water that is too cold, as this can cause the plancha’s enamel to crack.
- Once you’ve completed this initial cleaning, you can use our special griddle cleaner or silver polish to remove any remaining grease.
- Scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
- Rinse the surface of your plancha with water.
- Your griddle is clean.
